Mark B. Kraeling

Mark Kraeling has over 20 years of experience in the embedded systems industry, primarily focused on embedded real-time, communications, and safety-critical systems for the automotive and transportation industries. He is a regular speaker at embedded software conferences worldwide, and has published various papers and articles focused on embedded systems development over the course of his career. Mark co-edited and authored a book titled Software Engineering for Embedded Systems: Methods, Practical Techniques, and Applications, published in April, 2013. He has BSEE, MSEE, and MBA degrees from Rose-Hulman, Arizona State, and Johns Hopkins Universities, respectively. Mark also works with various subcommittees in industry organizations such as the Association of American Railroads to develop architecture- and communications-based standards. Mark started his career at Cummins, Inc developing real-time engine controls. He is currently a product manager and system architect at GE Transportation in Melbourne, Florida.
