President and Founder, Mixon Hill
Lee Mixon is President and founder of Mixon Hill, an engineering, consulting, and system development firm focused on transportation systems management and operation, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), connected vehicle systems, systems engineering, software development and performance management and measures.
Mr. Mixon currently leads his firm in collecting and processing connected vehicle data for Safety Pilot, developing performance management applications and engineering probe vehicle data collection platforms for Michigan Department of Transportation, and providing consult to SAE International on standards revisions. He was also principle in charge for the Clarus Initiative that has recently transitioned to NOAA.
Previously, Mr. Mixon was the Director of ITS Services at Black & Veatch. His role there was dedicated to development, design and integration of ITS. Over the last 25 years, Mr. Mixon has gained his technical experience through projects covering a broad range of functional areas and modes including connected vehicles, weather systems, traffic management systems, traveler information systems, rural transportation systems, public transportation systems, and intermodal transportation systems.
